Two beds this year! I thought it would satisfy me Two beds this year! I thought it would satisfy me to have two beds, but no, I just want more space to garden. Does anyone want to give me a farm?

This is from a few weeks ago when I staked up up m This is from a few weeks ago when I staked up up my peas. My tomatoes in my other bed are now about 2 feet tall! I staked them up today and planted my beloved zinnias and roselle seeds. I’m STILL waiting on my poppies, but they coming along. In the meantime, I’m dreaming of tomato sandwiches on sourdough bread this summer!

Life lately. I got potatoes in the ground! Potat Life lately.

I got potatoes in the ground! Potatoes should go in around Valentine’s Day, but February kicked my butt and I was waiting to take over the garden bed next to mine.

My carrots and peas are coming up nicely, the mustard greens are still kicking, and my garlic got some extra nutrients as they enter the fattening up stage. My poppies have not bloomed-yet, but the coreopsis survived the freeze and is starting to put out new leaves. TBD if the African Blue Basil will come back.

I planted 24 tomato plants in my new bed today too! I’m pumped to now have almost 100 sq feet of space to grow vegetables.

My gardening class started last week, but if you missed it and need some support to get started, or have questions (and prefer asking human with expertise from hands on experience) doing a private consult with me is an option too!

Who needs the gym when you have a garden? This w Who needs the gym when you have a garden?

This weekend I added a couple of bags of @man.in.overalls Magic Mix (which I accidentally called Magic Mike when checking out at @cultivatejax 😂🤦🏼‍♀️) and I planted some more carrots and peas seeds. Winter is almost over and it’s time to get in the garden!

My gardening class starts next week! Link in bio.
Continuing to catch up. What an absolute joy it wa Continuing to catch up. What an absolute joy it was to grow Roselle last season! Roselle is also called Florida Cranberry, and it’s a special plant to grow if you live in the southeast.

It’s a three season plant. Starting in early spring, I planted seeds given to me by a friend. I cared for, and tended to, the plants all summer and fall. I enjoyed the blooms as much as the fruit! When it was harvest time, I decided to freeze some for tea making and I also made a huge batch of simple syrup for holiday gifts.

If you want to learn how to grow fruits and vegetables in Florida and the Southeast, check out my online class starting Feb 26th. Link in bio.
