It’s been a hot minute since I’ve made chalkboard It’s been a hot minute since I’ve made chalkboard art in my classroom, but it was needed! I forgot what a good nervous system reset it is for me and how much the kids love it. It’s such a great way to get students curious and talking and it makes my classroom feel cozy.

Summer 2026 Substack is up! The Scent of Stress (i Summer 2026 Substack is up! The Scent of Stress (it’s about trees and middle aged women). A simple peach tart recipe and thoughts on the threshold between a childhood ending and a young adult life beginning. 

It was a successful summer harvest, but this fall I think I’m going to only grow flowers. Life is feeling very full and busy now that I have started graduate school.
