Hi! I’m Stephanie. I’m a veteran science teacher, trained environmental scientist, and naturalist offering consulting and workshops that bring sustainability, outdoor learning, and ecological stewardship to life. From wetland restoration and pollinator gardens to outdoor classrooms, sustainability programs, and nature-based field trips, I help schools, organizations, and communities establish meaningful and lasting connections with the natural world. Learn more about how to work with me here.
I love sharing my thoughts on nature, outdoor adventures, environmental stewardship, middle age, parenting teenagers, place-based teaching, gardening, yoga, books, recipes, and more on my Substack Newsletter and Instagram page. I am always striving to improve my writing, and I have been studying writing with Janisse Ray since 2023.
I also lead nature and wellness retreats a couple of times a year. You can learn more about those here. I’ve been a certified yoga instructor for 25 years and love combining my passions for wellness and nature.

A little bit more about me if you are interested…
I grew up on an avocado farm near the Everglades National Park and have been passionate about environmental stewardship my whole life. I am married to an Environmental Engineer (we met surfing in Costa Rica during our junior year of college and have been together ever since), a girl mom to the coolest teenager, and a cat Grandma. These days, I can be found teaching science outside, working in the garden or kitchen, playing tennis, going on outdoor adventures, or curled up with a good book. I currently teach middle school Earth Space Science and high school Environmental Science at an independent school in NE, FL.
