Hi! I’m Stephanie Cornais, or Mrs. Cornais to my students. I am a wife, mother, and teacher. It’s hard to believe because sometimes I still feel like a teenager, but I have taught for almost a quarter of a century.
This website and my substack newsletter are my attempts to become a better writer. I also love to share what I learn.
I post a few articles here during the summers when I have time, and once a month, I post a Substack newsletter where I share stories about teacher life, recipes, garden news and tips, and outdoor adventures.
Sign up for my Substack newsletter, Natural and Wild Wonders, here.
A little bit more about me if you are interested…
I am a native Floridian, a veteran science teacher, a girl mom, and a cat Grandma. You can find me teaching science outside, working in the garden or kitchen, on outdoor adventures, or curled up with a good book. I teach middle school Earth Space Science and high school Environmental Science and have extensive experience creating outdoor classrooms and leading outdoor trips for grades PK3 to 10th grade.
I have a Bachelor of Science from Florida State University (Go Noles!), where I studied Environmental Science. I grew up on an avocado farm near the Everglades National Park and have been passionate about environmental stewardship my whole life. I love traveling, outdoor adventures, and encouraging others to connect with nature.
