I realize showing my Europe trip outfits is super bougie, but fashion makes me happy and sharing outfit ideas is fun. Here are some pictures of my Rent the Runway outfits that I wore this summer while my family and traveled to the UK, France and Italy. I am so glad I had a RTR membership to help me pack for Europe without breaking the bank. With just a few RTR outfits, I felt very stylish and felt like I didn’t stand out as a frumpy American walking around Europe. If you haven’t tried RTR for everyday wear, you must give it a try! I planned a neutral capsule wardrobe of clothing items that were black, brown, white and neutral. Lots of basics that I could mix and match. I was traveling to places with different weather. For example, it was still cool in London, but I needed outdoorsy/casual in Chamonix and I wanted super stylish for Paris, but the temperature was so hot there, so I needed to wear things that kept me cool.
One of my best picks was this purse! I wanted something I could wear in front of my body to keep an eye on it, and I loved how this purse locked! Pickpockets are a serious issue in both London and Paris. The bag was a mix of neutral colors, so it went with everything. It had a bit of a shine on the leather, so the purse could be dressed up or dressed down and it literally went with every single outfit I packed. This purse was the ultimate winner.
I also picked several dresses that could be dressed up with wedges (you do not want to wear stiletto heels, too much walking over cobblestone streets) or dressed down with sneakers. They were all purposefully picked because they were flowy. I wanted outfits to accommodate my bloated belly from so many croissants (surprisingly I my digestion and gluten intolerance did really well in Europe) and to keep me cool when it got hot in the afternoon.
If you have not tried Rent the Runway for every day fashion, you seriously need to check it out. Sustainable fashion has been a passion of mine for many years and I have used and loved ThredUp.com in the past, but even though I was buying used, I still hated how my closest filled up. With Rent the Runway, I can feed my craving for new clothes, without personally consuming so much and keep my closet minimal and organized.
